Utah National Parks

Utah has a total of six national parks to choose from! From the desert to snow covered mountains, Utah has an option for every adventurous person out there!

ZION NATIONAL PARK: Zion is located in southwest Utah. It is a nature reserve with sheer red cliffs and trails the run alongside the virgin river. Zion has a few famous hikes you can take including The Narrows and Angels Landing. This hike truly has something for everyone.

CANYON-LANDS NATIONAL PARK: Canyon-lands is also located in southeastern Utah, it is known for its curved landscape created by the Colorado River. Th red and orange landscape is so eye-catching and accompanied by the needles (towering rock forms). The horse shoe curve adds an extra element of beauty to Canyon-lands and makes the hike worth it!

GREAT BASIN NATIONAL PARK: Great Basin is located more toward Eastern Nevada where it borders Utah. It offers a scenic drive through the Wheeler Peak Mountains with a chance of seeing the native wildlife, which includes big horn sheep.

ARCHES NATIONAL PARK: The arches reside north of a town called Moab and is bored by the Colorado river. This park is home to more than 2,000 sandstone arches. “Delicate Arch” Is one of the most famous arches located in the park. The opening of this arch is 46 Feet high and 32 feet wide, making it the largest free standing arch in the park.

CAPITAL REEF NATIONAL PARK: Capital reef is located in the south-central desert, and is created by a waterfall in the earth. This park is surrounded by incredible rock formations including, Chimney Rock Pillar and the Hickman Bridge Arch. This whole national park is coated in golden and white sandstone.

BRYCE CANYON NATIONAL PARK: Bryce Canyon is a beautiful park located in Southern Utah and is know for its crimson color. The park offers a breath taking ampitheater where plays, bull-riding, and artists preform. If you continue past the theater you are welcomed by Rim trail which leads you near Inspiration Point and Bryce Point.
